Recently we started working on email reports - a convenient way to eliminate the necessity to login and watch dashboard for any chances. It’s also a simple method to give other people access to your analytics, without having to include them as a guest user.
In order to start with implementing, we internally discussed how the UI will look like, and thanks to Paper for iPad, we designed a simple mockup that’ll provide a basis for future user interface development. Here’s what Onur has drawn as the first step:
Looking over this mockup, you can easily see that
- User will be able to select the frequency (eg day, week, month)
- If the selected frequency is day, user will be able to select the time & timezone.
- If the selected frequency is week or month, user will be able to select day, as well as time (neat, isn’t it?)
- User will select all of the apps in his portfolio, or some of them.
How about data sent as an email? We think there should be a default data set, including number of sessions, users, session duration, top countries, devices etc (you bet - these are the ones under Analytics menu). Moreover, user should also be able to select some (or all) of his custom events (e.g in-app purchase) that would go into the reports.
While we work on the email reports - do you have any questions, or feature requests that you think we should care about? Let us know and we’d be glad to discuss with you.
